A Testimonial from Richard Barteck, the Owner of Ottawa PC Repair Center LLC

I have been in the computer business for over 17 years and have owned my own store for over 11 years. Over these years I have tried or looked at just about every kind of software on the market or so it seems. I have found so many programs that say their software works great for computer stores. Well some do and some don’t. The programs I have either purchased, or tried were way too expensive for me or they were just developing the software and didn’t have all the features that I needed. Because I have a store front, a service department and I also do on-site calls I needed a program that would handle all the aspects of the business. I have purchased a POS software package which worked great for the store front but not so great for the service department. Which means I needed to use a different program for the service department so, I purchased a program for that part of the business. Now I’m using three software programs to run my business.

After about a year it was time to do the yearly books. My accountant gave me a call and told me the programs I was using was not integrating QuickBooks properly and suggested I looked at changing programs. Again I started looking for a program that my accountant would be happy with. Also trying to get down to just one program to run my business.  I came across a program called FutureStar. I thought to myself here I go again this program won’t work for me. It will be like all the rest. After looking at FutureStar I really surprised with what it did. My second thought was the price would be more than I could spend, but again I was surprised. I emailed Steven with several questions because I didn’t want to go through starting over again next year. Even though FutureStar integrates with QuickBooks my accountant and myself have decided not to use the integration part of the program because FutureStar has all the reports my accountant needs to do the books at the end of the year. So with the nice little POS, purchase order, inventory control modules I’m just using FutureStar and QuickBooks Online.  So far all is well in computer land. I truly believe this is the best program on the market today for a small computer store. Give it a try I’m really glad I did.
