I have been in the computer business for over 17 years and have owned my own store for over 11 years. Over these years I have tried or looked at just about every kind of software on the market or so it seems. I have found so many programs that say their software works great for computer stores. Well some do and some don’t. The programs I have either purchased, or tried were way too expensive for me or they were just developing the software and didn’t have all the features that I needed. Because I have a store front, a service department and I also do on-site calls I needed a program that would handle all the aspects of the business. I have purchased a POS software package which worked great for the store front but not so great for the service department. Which means I needed to use a different program for the service department so, I purchased a program for that part of the business. Now I’m using three software programs to run my business.

After about a year it was time to do the yearly books. My accountant gave me a call and told me the programs I was using was not integrating QuickBooks properly and suggested I looked at changing programs. Again I started looking for a program that my accountant would be happy with. Also trying to get down to just one program to run my business.  I came across a program called FutureStar. I thought to myself here I go again this program won’t work for me. It will be like all the rest. After looking at FutureStar I really surprised with what it did. My second thought was the price would be more than I could spend, but again I was surprised. I emailed Steven with several questions because I didn’t want to go through starting over again next year. Even though FutureStar integrates with QuickBooks my accountant and myself have decided not to use the integration part of the program because FutureStar has all the reports my accountant needs to do the books at the end of the year. So with the nice little POS, purchase order, inventory control modules I’m just using FutureStar and QuickBooks Online.  So far all is well in computer land. I truly believe this is the best program on the market today for a small computer store. Give it a try I’m really glad I did.

And no this is not a paid advertisement I just believe in this software.

I have been using TS Man for three years for my business. At times I was wondering if there was a way to make it better, because it is lacking so many tools that a computer technician or a manager might need, that working with it became frustrating at times.

I decided to go look for another options, and after I found and tested Future Star's Manova Software, it became very clear that adopting it for my computer repair and IT services business, even if the data transfer from the TS Man database is going to be a big job, it was worth doing. I can say this after only 2 months of using it.

The overall look at the business that this software offers, is just amazing. I love how simple it is to get to the answers that I need. By comparison, similar tasks take 2 to 10 times more time in TS Man. In some areas, these two programs don't even compare, as Manova has so many more features not included in TS Man.

Don't get me wrong, the old software worked fine for me for 3 years, but the Manova Software is superior in every category out there, when it comes to functionality and efficiency.
And not to mention it last, but the communication with the Future Star's software developer, aka the owner, is absolutely great.

If you're looking for a viable alternative to TS Man, switching to Manova Software is a no brainer, just give it a try and you will see it for yourself!

Comparing the MaNova system to QuickBooks is like comparing a Lamborghini to a Pinto – there is no comparison!  We didn’t notice what we were missing until we made the change.  The software helps technicians track the progress of a repair, which QuickBooks simply cannot do.  QuickBooks was originally designed for generic invoicing and accounting – a sort of “one size fits all” solution.  MaNova was designed specifically for use at repair shops. We needed something that would keep track of the entire repair process and manage our inventory efficiently and effectively.  We found this with MaNova.  We went from using paper service orders to going almost completely paperless in under a week!

Not only is the software incredible, the support is also great! When we have a question or issue, we send Steven an e-mail, and he usually replies in minutes!  Talk about good service!

The  MaNova software helps us a lot in all our daily transactions.  It is very intuitive and easy to use. We can quickly find a customer’s history by various ways, such as phone number, name, address,  or email address. We can have a clear glance of the customer’s record by viewing the “Customer Manager” function.  A lot of shortcuts are available for quick access in the system.

A lot of functions do help us to better manage the business.  The Case query, layaway, work order, onsite let us know what jobs we have done, need to be done, and who needs to called. Sales query, membership query let us know our sales and membership information.  Inventory functions help us to keep track of our inventory.  The Report function shows us all kinds of reports including attendance, KPI, survey's, individual performance, store performance, internet income, and comparison by date, by store, by individual, etc.

The priority list function greatly helps us to manage the case's better.  By using the points system, we can know which case needs our attention from the highest priority to the least priority.  The recent launched “survey report” function also lets us know the level of customers’ satisfaction, which can help improve our customers service quality.  Also, our phone system is linked to our MaNova software, so when customer calls, by clicking the blinking green phone number  on the upper right corner of MaNova software, we can quickly know who is calling, and pull up the customer’s  information right away.

MaNova software is very user-friendly software. It is customized to our business use.  It is secure, intuitive, clear and multi-functional.
